- WhatsApp enquiries: your phone number, name (if shared), message content and any photos you send.
- Email enquiries: your email address, name, message content and any attachments.
- Website usage: anonymous analytics data (only if you accept analytics cookies), such as pages visited, device type and approximate region.
- Project records: address, installation details and certificates for work we carry out.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To plan, deliver, certify and invoice electrical work.
- To meet our legal obligations (e.g. issuing NICEIC certification and retaining records).
- To improve our website and services (anonymous analytics only).
Lawful basis
We process personal data under UK GDPR on the basis of contract (to quote and carry out work you've asked for), legal obligation (record keeping and certification) and legitimate interest (responding to enquiries and running our business).
Sharing your information
We do not sell your data. We only share information with: NICEIC and other certification bodies where required; HMRC and other regulators where legally required; insurers and payment providers as needed to deliver our service.
How long we keep it
Enquiry messages are kept for up to 24 months. Project records, invoices and certificates are retained for a minimum of 6 years to meet legal and certification requirements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, restrict processing, or object to processing. To exercise any right, email martinedwards193@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we keep records on access-controlled devices and accounts.
